I’m sure most of you have seen advertisements from the weight loss industry that boasts the statement lose weight fast. If you take a look around the search engines for help, you are bombarded with promises of incredible weight loss that you’d almost be stupid not to try their product or system. Here’s a few examples of what I’m talking about with the first sentence in their advertisement: You Can Lose 30 Pounds In 30 Days, or Safely Lose 9 Pounds Every 11 Days!, how about Lose 1 Jean Size Every 7 Days! Lose 18lbs in 4 days.
Those are incredible promises and there are many people out there that really believe that those feats can be accomplished for any person that tries them. I especially like the one of lose a jean size every 7 days. So If I were to take that literally, a woman that is a size 10 and feels that she is over weight would be a 2 in a month. Of course if she keeps going she would be in negative sizes in 2 months. How about lose 9 pounds safely every 11 days? In 33 days you would have lost 27 pounds, 66 days 54 pounds, etc.
Anyone that has put on excessive pounds over the years has paused and looked at themselves in the mirror and wanted to do something about it. A loss of water weight can be expected the first week with what seems like a huge amount of weight lost. The problem is that people reach a point where weight is just not going to fall off of you that quickly. Even those that participated in the show “The Biggest Loser” had periods of time when they only lost a pound in a week and that’s with supervised diets and massive exercise plans.
Losing weight takes a total plan and not some drop it fast plan. You need a regiment of exercise and correct diet. There needs a plan in place that helps keep you motivated to continue this process. Remember, it took a long time to put this weight on, so it doesn’t come off overnight. Take a look at all of these plans and use a bit of caution when selecting. If it seems to good to be true it probably isn’t.
